Early morning fire destroys single-family home
SEATAC, Wash. -- No one was injured when a fire ripped through a single-family home early Thursday morning.
The fire started at a home around 12:40 a.m. in the 2800 block of South 142nd Street. Firefighters from SeaTac, Tukwila and North Highline responded to the blaze and discovered fire lapping at the side of the home. They put out the blaze quickly, and a single male resident was able to get out safely.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, SeaTac officials said.
No working smoke alarms were present in the home.
