Everett police: Reports of man with gun at Boeing facility 'unsubstantiated'
EVERETT -- Authorities investigated reports of a man with a gun Thursday evening at the Boeing factory in Everett.
Everett police said they received two calls to 9-1-1 around 7:00 p.m. reporting a man with a rifle on Boeing property.
Officials called the reports "unsubstantiated," but Boeing officials said all precautions were being taken to ensure safety.
Police evacuated employees while officers searched the facility.
At 9:30 p.m., police said there was no threat and the search was over. Nothing suspicious was found.
Employees were returning to work as normal.
