Explosion blows roof off car; father, daughter injured
SEATTLE -- A father and his 2-year-old daughter were injured when the roof blew off their car Sunday in Spokane's Garland neighborhood, the Spokesman Review reported.
Spokane police told the paper that the father apparently used a flammable butane with a device attached to it used to extract marijuana oil. When he lit a cigarette, it ignited a blast that blew the roof off the car.
The man was transported to Harborview Medical Center's burn unit and his daughter, who was in the backseat at the time of the incident, suffered burns but was in stable condition at Providence Sacred Medical Center.
