Sussex, England -- Two families in England are mourning the deaths of their sons following a fatal "mistake."

The families of 20-year-old Kyle Careford and 21-year-old Michael Owen agreed to release video taken seconds before the two men crashed into a church wall. Both men died instantly.
In the video, the pair can be heard laughing as they cross the center line several times and speed around other cars. Police said the car was traveling at speeds over 90 mph, which was well-above the 30 mph speed limit.
Investigators say the men had taken a "cocktail" of prescription and illegal drugs prior to the crash, according to BBC News.
Shortly after the accident, officers discovered one of the men's cell phones under a tree, which was recording at the time of the crash. After watching the video, the victims' families allowed police to release the video in hopes it may save lives.
"We bring our children up teaching them right from wrong. We guide them and give them our advice and hope they listen, but once they are adults we hope they make the right choices. I really don't know why the boys chose to do what they did, but I blame them both for the decisions they made on this night," Kat Owen, Michael Owen's mother, told Kent Online. "If all this stops one person from making the same mistake, then some good has come from showing this video."
Authorities say Careford did not have a driver's license and was not insured to drive the car, which belonged to Owen.
