Family sees fugitive accused of burning girlfriend on Crime Stoppers -- helps Mychal Turner surrender
FUGITIVE CAPTURED June 5, 2013 -- Crime Stoppers of Tacoma/Pierce County says domestic violence assault suspect, Mychal Turner, turned himself in to the Pierce County Jail early Wednesday morning. Turner was featured on WMW and Crime Stoppers of Tacoma/Pierce County. He was accompanied by several family members, knew he was on Crime Stoppers, and wanted to turn himself in. FUGITIVE WANTED IN TACOMA May 31, 2013 -- Police are looking for Mychal Turner who reportedly threw a boiling pot of water at his girlfriend, burning her and causing her skin to blister. “She was trying very hard to get away from him. She was at the door. He wouldn't let her leave and said that he'd take care of it with some 'lotion'," Naveed Benjamin of the Tacoma Police Department said. She did manage to get away from him, but he took off before the police arrived. Turner is 25-years-old, 6-feet tall and weighs 210 pounds. One of his tattoos -- on his chest -- says he's "King of the Hill." The tattoo is inside an outline of Washington state. He's also inked with the name "Mikey" on his neck.
