SEATTLE -- A woman and a cat were rescued from a house fire Sunday afternoon in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood.

Flames shot out of a 2nd floor window of the home in the 600 block of NW 80th Street, just a few blocks from Greenwood Elementary School.

Officials say nobody was hurt.

Seattle fire crews used a ladder to get to the 2nd floor window and rescue the woman. She was evaluated at the scene of the fire and did not need to go to the hospital.

Crews also rescued a cat from the home.

It is unclear what may have caused the fire or the extent of the damage.
