Giant slip-and-slide coming to Lower Queen Anne?
SEATTLE -- Ever dream of sliding freely down a Seattle street, with only sun, water and bathing suits in your vision? Cars nowhere to be seen.
No, this isn't some bizarre rush-hour fantasy. This is the real thing, we're talking about. A child's dream come true!
Slide the City, a company that brings long slip-and-slides to a variety of different cities throughout the summer, is partnering with Seafair to bring a giant slide to Seattle on Aug. 16.
According to Seattlepi.com., the slide will be laid out on Mercer Street between Warren Avenue North and 4th Avenue North. As many as 6,000 participants can head down the slide, Seattlepi.com reported, with costs ranging anywhere from $16 to $65 depending on registration date and the number of times one intends to head down the slippery slope.
The company also plans to set up in the Tri-Cities, Bend, Spokane and Portland, as well as various other locations around the country this summer.
