Grant County warns some residents to stay inside, lock doors with armed fugitive on loose
EPHRATA, Wash. -- Grant County Sheriff urged some residents to stay inside and lock their doors because of an "armed and dangerous fugitive" believed to be in their area Friday.
"Residents of the Royal City area are asked to be on alert for an armed and dangerous fugitive near State Route 26 and Road P SW. Residents within a 5 mile radius of this are asked to stay inside homes and lock doors," his alert said.
The suspect is identified as David Santos Sotello, who is described as 5-foot-10 and weighs 215 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white tank top, jeans and a black hat. He was driving a green four-wheel ATV.
Santos is wanted for shooting at a Royal City officer Tuesday night. He also exchanged shots with other officers Friday.
Residents are urged to call 911 if they see him or any suspicious activity.
