Gunman threatens father working at mart for $200 in Parkland, WA
PARKLAND, Wash. - The Pierce County Sheriff's Department is looking for the man who they say robbed a convenience store employee at gunpoint in Parkland.
What we know:
The robbery happened on the 600 block of 112th Street East in Parkland around 8 a.m. Thursday.
Surveillance footage that FOX 13 Seattle obtained shows the suspect walking through the front door with a bookbag. The next camera angle shows the man walking behind the counter, holding a gun, and pointing it directly at the employee.

"I get a phone call, and he said, ‘I’ve just been robbed. I just was robbed at gunpoint," said Melony Moffett.
Moffett works at the store. The victim of the armed robbery is her ex-husband, and the father of her son. She tells FOX 13 Seattle the incident is terrifying.
"He could have gotten shot," she said.
Surveillance video shows the suspect running away from the scene.
"We have an armed suspect that is on our streets still and that is very concerning for us," said Deputy Carly Cappetto with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.
Cappetto says investigators are working to quickly arrest the dangerous crook.
"It’s likely that this suspect will reoffend, and the only way that's going to stop is once we get him in handcuffs and we put the suspect away," said Cappetto.
This is the second armed robbery the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department has responded to so far this year.
Investigators tell FOX 13 Seattle there were 64 reported armed robberies throughout the county in 2024.
Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.
