Hawks no longer interested in trade for DE

SEATTLE -- A report that Seattle was interested in trading for a Pro-Bowl defensive end quickly turned into false hopes Tuesday as Seattle lost interest.

NFL reporter and ESPN columnist Adam Schefter tweeted at 10 a.m. the Seahawks were attempting to trade for Pro- Bowl defensive end Jared Allen.

However, Schefter later tweeted that Seattle lost interest in the deal. Allen has combined for 21 tackles and 4.5 sacks so far this season.

Many fans took to Twitter to express their desire for the team to pick up an offensive lineman, saying the line looked abysmall on Monday night. Russell Wilson was sacked seven times in the Hawks' 14-9 victory over the St. Louis Rams.

The NFL trade deadline is 1 p.m. Tuesday.
