In Oregon, Kasich says he mulled whether to stay in race but wife encouraged him to keep going
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — GOP presidential contender John Kasich says he's not ready to give up despite businessman Donald Trump's huge primary wins this week and the Ohio governor's vastly diminished chances.
Kasich spoke Thursday at a town hall meeting in Portland. He said he had been pondering whether to stay in the race but his wife encouraged him to keep going because people need a choice.
Kasich said, "It's not always an easy road, but I'm going to do my very best."
