Live in the South Sound? Expect some noise this week

JOINT BASE LEWIS MCCHORD, Wash. (AP) — People in the south Puget Sound area may hear Howitzer cannons fired at Joint Base Lewis McChord this week and next.

The Olympian newspaper reports the artillery exercise run by one of the base's two units with Howitzer cannons may include some late-night explosions.

The Olympian says the firing will begin on Tuesday, June 16 and continue through the week.
