LYNNWOOD, Wash. -- A 48-year-old Washington man is accused of threatening to blow up a Boston-area cell center just days after the Boston Marathon bombings because the call center mistakenly messaged him multiple times, the Everett Herald reported.

Stewart Roger Brooks of Lynnwood is charge  in Snohomish County Court with one felony count of telephone harassment and one felony count of threats to bomb.

Brooks allegedly grew angry after receiving multiple calls from the LoJack Contact Center in Canton, Mass. The company operates a vehicle-recovery service alerting customers when a car is moved. The company transposed two digits in a subscriber's telephone number to call Brooks by mistake.

According to the Herald, the Snohomish County Prosecutor's Office alleges Brooks called the company and went on a verbal tirade after receiving the messages. He allegedly said "You're gonna blow the (expletive) up now. I'll detonate your (expletive)." His message was peppered with profanities and racial slurs, court documents allege.

The calls were made to the call center just six days after the Boston Marathon bombings killed three and injured hundreds. Brooks allegedly hoped to scare the call center in order to get them to stop calling, the Herald reported.

Brooks is currently free on $10,000 bail.
