Local radio station offers free breakfast for furloughed workers
AUBURN -- Out of work because of the government shutdown? You can at least get breakfast.
Local radio station STAR 101.5 and the Kent and Alan Morning show are buying breakfast for all furloughed workers between 6 and 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Sun Break Cafe in Auburn. Anyone who shows their government I.D. will receive breakfast, free of charge.
"Furloughed and unemployed workers deserve a break at the Sun Break," Alan Budwill, co-host of the Kent and Alan show, said.
Sun Break Cafe is near a number of government offices.
