Magnitude 3.1 earthquake strikes about 11 miles from Mount St. Helens
MOUNT ST. HELENS, Wash. -- A magnitude 3.1 earthquake struck Thursday afternoon about 11 miles north-northwest of Mount St. Helens, Washington Emergency Management said.
"No reports of being felt or damage," emergency management tweeted.
The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network said the quake hit at about 3:29 p.m. Thursday and that it was about 13.9 miles south of Morton, Wash.
The earthquake was about 7.21 miles deep, the network said.
