Man, 63, dies in Pierce County house fire; 3 others escape

GRAHAM, Wash. (AP) _ Fire officials say a 63-year-old man died in a house fire in the Pierce County town of Graham.

Graham Fire & Rescue spokesman Steve Richards says a medical condition may have prevented the man from escaping the one-story house when a fire broke out in his bedroom around 11:15 a.m. Monday.

The News Tribune reports (http://goo.gl/lnjaF0 ) that three family members woke to smoke alarms and got out safely. They suffered minor injuries, including smoke inhalation.

Firefighters found the man's body inside the home.

The fire marshal is investigating.
