Man arrested after climbing across power lines, staying in tree for hours in Seattle

SEATTLE - Police have taken a man into custody after he spent the Sunday morning hiding from them in a large tree.

Police responding to a domestic violence call at an apartment complex around 2:45 a.m.. Police say a woman called because she was afraid of her boyfriend who was coming over. The woman and her children were able to get out out of the apartment unharmed.

The man remained in the apartment building before climbing on the roof and across high voltage power lines to a large tree.

Police spent the day negotiating with the man to come down, who finally did so around 1:30 p..m..

No one was injured and the man is in police custody.
