Man drowns in Los Angeles pool owned by Demi Moore
LOS ANGELES -- A man was found dead Sunday morning in a pool at Demi Moore's Beverly Hills home, the Los Angeles Police Department's West Los Angeles Division said.
A call came in shortly before 5:30 a.m. to report a man dead in the pool, Officer Matthew Jones said.
Moore says she's in "absolute shock" over the death of a 21-year-old man in her backyard pool in Los Angeles.
The 52-year-old actress says in a statement released through her publicist Sunday that she's out of the country and wasn't home at the time but the death at a party hosted by her assistant is an "unthinkable tragedy."
Los Angeles County coroner's Lt. Fred Corral has now identified the victim as 21-year-old Edenilson Steven Valle.
Corral says Valle had gone missing for 10 or 15 minutes before his friends found him floating in the deep end of the pool Sunday morning.
Valle's family and friends told investigators he didn't know how to swim.
