Man gave meth, weed to teens who cleaned his room
EVERETT -- A 23-year-old Everett man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly giving two teenage girls a variety of drugs and having sex with one of the girls after she cleaned his room, the Everett Herald reported.
According to the Herald, the suspect picked up two girls, 15 and 16, Wednesday from their Everett high school, and the three drove to a supermarket parking lot to allegedly smoke marijuana. Cops spotted the trio and arrested the man, who allegedly admitted to having $3,000 cash and heroin in his car.
Following the arrest, police obtained a search warrant to the man's home. Detectives allegedly found heroin, a scale and a stolen handgun in the bedroom safe.
One of the teen girls allegedly told detectives she met the man in mid-August when he offered to give the girls pot if they cleaned up his rented room. She said since their first meeting, the pair often smoked methamphetamine and marijuana together. She also allegedly admitted to having unprotected sex with the 23-year-old, who reportedly knew she was 15.
Police said the girl had a history of good grades and came from a responsible family, and said the man preyed on "very vulnerable" young women.
The suspect was booked for providing drugs to minors and possessing a firearm. Allegations of sex with a minor are under further investigation.
The suspect is being held in Snohomish County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
