Man in his 30s gunned down in Seattle's Central District



SEATTLE -- A man in his 30s was found shot to death in the Central District Thursday afternoon, police said.

Witnesses began calling 911 after hearing what they believed to be multiple gunshots in the 900 block of 24th Avenue just after 4 p.m., police said.

Officers found a man lying on the ground near a sidewalk. He was dead from multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

His identity wasn't immediately released.

Homicide investigators, and the Gang Unit are all investigating, police said.

Detectives are working with neighbors to try to develop a description of the suspect or suspects.
