Man killed by a hit-and-run in Everett; suspected driver found
EVERETT, Wash. -- A man was killed in a hit-and-run accident at Pecks Drive and Evergreen Way Tuesday night, Everett police said.
Spokesman Aaron Snell said the accident occurred at about 8:45 p.m. when a car traveling northbound on Evergreen Way hit the man, stopped briefly and then kept going.
A witness said he saw the car drive through the intersection and then saw a duffel bag fly through the air before he saw a man lying in the street, covered in blood.
The police said later that the suspected driver was located and was being interviewed.
No other details were immediately available.
