Man stabbed in neck in dispute over potato chips, police say
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Portland police arrested a 56-year-old man after a dispute involving some potato chips.
Police were called to the 9300 block of North Fiske Avenue around 9 p.m. Saturday.
Officers and medics found a 30-year-old man who had been stabbed in the neck. Robert Alexander was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses told police that Alexander accused the suspect, Clarence Dorn Jr., of eating potato chips off of a child's plate.
Officers found Dorn a short time later at nearby McCoy Park and took him into custody.
Dorn was booked into Multnomah County Jail on charges of 2nd degree assault.
Detectives say the suspect and victim knew each other and this was not a random assault.
