Man stabbed, killed in Capitol Hill neighborhood

Seattle police are investigating stabbing that left a man dead in the Capitol Hill Tuesday morning. 

Officers responded to a report of a stabbing near East Pike Street and Broadway at about 3:40 a.m.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a man with multiple stab wounds and attempted life-saving measures but the 45-year-old vicitm died from his injuries at the scene. 

Officers located the suspect, a 53-year-old man near the scene and they recovered a kitchen knife. 

The suspect was arrested and booked into the King County Jail on suspicion of murder. 

It's unknown what led up to the stabbing.
