Man with revoked license allegedly runs over pedestrian
SEATTLE -- A 31-year-old male driver was arrested after allegedly hitting a pedestrian late Thursday night near the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Union Street.
According to Seattle police, a 32-year-old woman was crossing a 3rd Avenue intersection around 10 p.m. when a man driving a Dodge Charger allegedly hit her at a crosswalk. Seattle Fire responded to the scene and transported the woman to Harborview Medical Center with possible fractures to her arm and leg.
A drug recognition expert called to the scene said the driver did not display any signs of intoxication, however, his driver's license was not valid at the time of the crash. The driver admitted to being distracted at the time of the accident, and was arrested for violating a Department of Corrections supervision provision.
Seattle police are investigating the accident.
