Manhunt for burglary suspects
PORT ANGELES - Police in Clallam county have an all out manhunt underway for two men suspected of stealing shotguns from a home near Port Angeles. Port Angeles police officers responded to a residential burglary just after 10 a.m. Sunday said Deputy Port Angeles Police Chief Brian Smith. Two male suspects were seen leaving the area with stolen shotguns and were spotted and pursued by Elwha Police and Port Angeles Police.
An attempt to stop with suspects' vehicle with spike strips was unsuccessful, and the police pursuit terminated on Dan Kelly Road. Police have brought in police helicopters to aid the search for the suspects and police are warning residents in the area to stay inside their homes and to report any suspcious activity. Smith said that more information will be issued on the Clallam Alert system.
