Massive fire destroys Everett building; no injuries reported
EVERETT -- Flames and smoke poured from a warehouse along the water in Everett Saturday night.
Nearly 90 firefighters responded to 101 West Marine Drive just before 7pm. They surrounded the building to keep the flames from spreading to the nearby Everett Engineering facility.
The Everett Fire Marshal said the building is a recycling center and was filled with material. Multiple fire departments were called to help contain the fire. The smoke could be seen miles away.
It's unknown at this time what started the blaze. There are no reports of any injuries.
Roads near the fire were closed. The firefight was expected to last at least through the weekend.
