Medic rescues driver from swamp along US 101

PACIFIC COUNTY, Wash. -- Emergency responders swam through a swamp to rescue one person who drove their car off of a highway Thursday morning.

According to Washington State Patrol Trooper Russ Winger, a medic rescued the driver of a black Toyota Camry around 9 a.m. This happened on US 101 near the Oregon border.

Nobody was hurt.

It's unclear why the driver ended up driving off the highway.
