Money doesn't grow on trees, but gold does

AUSTRALIA --  Scientists have discovered gold deposits growing on eucalyptus trees in Australia.

The trees have extensive root systems that dig deep to find water in times of drought.  Some are striking gold.

The gold concentration in the tree's leaves is 80 parts per billion, and a mere 4 parts per billion in the bark.

That means the gold isn't visible to the naked eye.

However, the findings could lead to new and more successful prospecting methods.
