More kids going to the ER after eating spicy snack foods

Spicy snacks are not for the weak of stomach and some doctors are now warning that kids shouldn't be eating them.

According to Foxnews.com, a doctor from Los Angeles says it's a real problem there.

Kids are being admitted to the ER for eating too many artificially-flavored snacks, like Flamin' Hot Cheetohs that have a real kick to them.

Those foods can create acidity in the stomach lining, setting up kids for ulcers and gastritis.

Foxnews.com reports that several school district around the country have started banning these types of spicy snacks due to a lack of nutritional value.

Doctors say parents should consider replacing them with healthier snacks items like string cheese.
