New iPad to hit stores this Fall
NEW YORK --First the iPhone, now we're learning a new version of Apple's iPad and iPad mini will hit stores this fall.
Bloomberg reports, the fifth-generation tablet will have a thinner design. The iPad mini will reportedly come with a retina display.
iPad sales came in weaker than many Wall Street analysts expected in Apple's June quarter. The company sold 14.6 million devices instead of the more than 18 million that were expected. Apple made up for it in stronger-than-expected iPhone sales.
The new iPad and iPad mini will be released after the unveiling of the new iPhone. That event is scheduled for Sept. 10.
