Northwest Trek celebrates baby boom
EATONVILLE -- This is a great time of year to see baby animals at Northwest Trek Wildlife Park.
Visitors can get up close with bison and caribou, Bighorn sheep lambs and deer fawns. The animals will be visible in the Free Roam area of Northwest Trek, though the caribou calves are behind-the-scenes with their mothers for a few more weeks.
"Baby season is always enjoyable because there's the anticipation of something new each day," said Free-Roaming area keeper Dave Meadows. "It's also fun to watch the littles ones show off their innocence while they grow and learn from their mothers."
