Oktoberfest kicks off this weekend
FREMONT -- Fall starts on Sunday and what better way to say hello to a new season than Oktoberfest in Fremont?
Featuring the biggest beer garden in the Northwest with more than 100 microbrews and craft brews along with loads of bands including Tracorium, Staxx Brothers, Lucky Brown, and the Warren G Hardings. There's plenty of tribute bands that you can swill your beer to as well, like Endangered Species plays Parliament Funkadelic, Haiku Chi plays Prince, and Echoes plays Pink Floyd.
And don't forget about the Buxom Royalty contest and 5K run.
The Tasting Garden at the Fremont Oktoberfest opens Friday at 5 p.m., and runs through Sunday at 6 p.m. The Tasting Garden requires a ticket and you must be 21 or over. Tickets start at $20.
There's also a place for kids called The Village, featuring food and fun for all ages, which is free. Highlights include Dogtoberfest Sunday, Texas Chainsaw Pumpkin Carving and more.
