One dead after early morning Metro bus, car crash on SR 169

MAPLE VALLEY, Washington --  One person is dead after an early morning crash involving a Metro bus and a car near Maple Valley.

Washington State Patrol Trooper Chris Webb said the crash happened just before 4:30 a.m. Tuesday on SR 169 near Jones Road.



The driver of the White 1989 Honda Civic, a 35-year-old man, was killed in the crash.

Q13 FOX News Traffic Reporter Adam Gherke reported that there were no passengers aboard the bus and the driver appeared not to be seriously hurt.

The roadway was closed for more than 5-hours while investigators worked.
