Pilot injured in helicopter crash near Larch Lake
ARLINGTON -- A pilot was injured today when his helicopter crashed near Larch Lake.
The pilot was flying his helicopter north of State Route 530 near Larch Lake when his helicopter crashed around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday.
An hour later, the sheriff's office said the pilot was rescued and flown from the crash site by SnoHAWK. The extent of his injuries was unknown, and he was flown to a local hospital.
The Skagit County Sheriff's Office is investigating the cause of the crash.
The lake is about seven miles north of Oso in the Cascade Mountains.
