Plan ahead: Both directions of I-5 to close Friday night in south Seattle

SEATTLE -- Officials are asking drivers to plan ahead for a major I-5 closure overnight Friday near Boeing Access Road.

Both directions of I-5 will close as crews work to replace overhead utilities that span the busy freeway.


    Signs will direct drivers around the closure. Here are the routes:

    MLK/SR900 Detour Routes:

    Northbound:


      Southbound:


        I-5 Detour Routes:

        Northbound at Interurban


          Northbound at Southcenter Blvd


            Southbound
