Pokemon Go player slashes pair he says attacked him in Vegas

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas police are reporting a second case of violence this week involving "Pokemon Go" players hunting for virtual creatures in public parks at night.

Officer Laura Meltzer said Thursday that a "Pokemon Go" player slashed two people. The player told investigators that he pulled a knife because the pair attacked him as he chased a man who grabbed his cellphone.

Meltzer says one person was slashed in the face and another received a hand wound Wednesday night. She says the person with the knife was questioned but wasn't immediately charged with a crime.

The stabbings follow the arrest early Monday of an 18-year-old who police say was wounded in an exchange of gunfire while trying to rob a group of Pokemon Go players at a different park.
