Police arrest accused armed home invader spotted by WMW viewer in downtown Seattle
FUGITIVE CAPTURED June 18, 2015 -- Seattle Police arrested Charles Brown on Thursday morning after a WMW viewer spotted him in downtown Seattle and called 911. Detectives say officers tracked Charles Brown to a hotel where he ran when they tried to arrest him. Brown was quickly caught and booked into the King County jail. He is the 638th WMW fugitive caught. FUGITIVE WANTED IN SEATTLE May 22, 2015 -- Charles Brown is a suspect in a home invasion shooting that you helped identify. Seattle police first thought he might be named "Brandon.” He was one of three suspects accused of shooting a man in Seattle on March 12th during a robbery. Thanks to a Crime Stoppers tip, Police now know the man they are looking for is Brown and detectives are hoping somebody spots him so they can get him off the street. "We're kind of concentrating on some areas that he's been seen like the north end of Aurora Avenue, like say 85th going north toward Shoreline. There's a lot of hotels in there, a lot of drug activity. He's probably going to be hanging out with these people and they probably know exactly where he's at. We're considering this guy to be armed and dangerous, we've warned our cops this is a dangerous guy,” says Ret. Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound.
