Police investigating alleged sexual assault on campus of Edmonds Community College

LYNNWOOD -- Police confirmed Tuesday night that they are investigating a sexual assault that took place on the Edmonds Community College campus Saturday night.

An alert sent out to students said, "Lynnwood Police Department (LPD) and Campus Safety and Security have been notified of an alleged sexual assault on campus. The alleged assault took place between 11 p.m. and 12 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2015, in parking lot 'E' just south of Rainier Place.

"LPD asks if anyone saw a dark skinned male in his twenties with blood on himself or clothing around that time period to contact the Lynnwood Police Department at 425.670.5600."

Lynnwood police confirmed the details in the alert to Q13 FOX News and said they are working with the victim in the case.

No other details were released.
