Police: Passenger killed, others injured in Burien DUI crash
BURIEN -- A passenger was killed and others were critically injured in a suspected DUI crash early Wednesday morning in Burien.
According to King County Sheriff's Office Deputy Cindi West, a car traveling northbound on 12th Avenue South near the intersection of 112th Street lost control, went off the road and hit a tree at a high rate of speed.
West said of the three or four people riding in the car, one of the passengers in the back was killed and the others were transported to Harborview Medical Center. The driver of the car was in critical condition at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Officers said the driver was driving too fast for conditions and intoxicated.
The crash was one of multiple accident's early Wednesday morning that resulted with at least four people dead and four others injured around the Puget Sound.
Between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. Tuesday night, there were 11 DUI arrests made by Washington State Patrol troopers in King County.
