Police search for shooting suspect who fled on bike
SEATTLE -- The suspect who shot and critically wounded a man at 143rd and Aurora Avenue North Thursday night is still on the loose, authorities said.
Police officers responded to calls of a shooting in the parking lot behind Hertz Rental Car around around 11 p.m. in North Seattle. The suspect shot the victim in the chest before fleeing the scene on the bicycle, police said.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was transported to the Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as a black man in his late 30s with a thin build. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and riding a bike southbound on Aurora Avenue.
The victim and the suspect knew each other, and police are investigating the events that lead up to the shooting.
