Portland man, ex-girlfriend indicted on 89 child porn charges
PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) - A Portland man and his ex-girlfriend were in court on Friday facing 89 child pornography charges.
A Multnomah County grand jury indicted David Hyliard, 45, on Thursday with 30 counts of encouraging child sexual abuse in the first degree, 30 counts of encouraging child sexual abuse in the second degree, one count of sexual abuse in the first degree, one count of using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct, and one count of endangering the welfare of a minor.
A grand jury also indicted Chelsea Lovell, 25, with 15 counts of encouraging child sexual abuse in the first degree, 15 counts of encouraging child sexual abuse in the second degree, and one count of unlawful possession of methamphetamine.
According to court documents, Hyliard and Lovell have been in an on and off relationship for four years.
According to Multnomah County Jail documents, Hyliard works as a software developer while Lovell is an exotic dancer in southeast Portland.
Hyliard and Lovell are both being held at the Multnomah County Detention Center. Hyliard's bail is set at $1.25 million. Lovell's bail is set at $380,000.
Both Hyliard and Lovell are due back in court in July.
