Pregnant woman taken to hospital following hit-and-run crash
SEATTLE -- A one-car rollover crash sent a pregnant woman to the hospital early Tuesday morning, Seattle police said.
The crash happened around 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of 14th Avenue South and South College Street in Beacon Hill. A male driver and a pregnant female passenger fled the scene after hitting a fence and a fire hydrant with a Mercedes SUV, causing significant damage to the vehicle and the property.
Police found the suspect and the passenger a short time later. The pregnant female was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure, and the male driver was booked into jail on a felony hit-and-run.
