Puyallup single mom gets $1,886 tip from church in job as pizza delivery driver
PUYALLUP – A large pepperoni with extra, extra, extra generosity, please.
A single mom of two kids who works at Pizza Time in Puyallup full time while attending Pierce College was given the largest tip of her life on Saturday - $1,886.
That’s almost 30 times as big as Nicole’s previous best tip of $66.
The giant gratuity came courtesy of Cornerstone Community Church, which decided it wanted to show generosity to somebody who was a single mother and who was working and going to school.
Nicole fit the bill.
“We had planned to go see my mom and it was going to be really tight – I haven’t seen my mom in six years,” she told the congregation in a video posted to Facebook. “You all just made that trip where I don’t have to worry if something should happen on our way there and on our way back.
“So thank you from the bottom of my heart to each and every one of you.”
