Puyallup Tribal police arrest fugitive accused of casing casino before attacking, robbing elderly woman
FUGITIVE CAPTURED October 18, 2013 -- The Puyallup Tribal Police Department arrested Benjamin Morales Palacios at the Emerald Queen Casino on Friday. FUGITIVE WANTED IN PUYALLUP March 8, 2013 -- What kind of guy attacks an 83-year-old woman? Puyallup Tribal Police say Benjamin Morales Palacios, is exactly the kind of guy who would do something like that. Palacios reportedly was watching an elderly lady gamble in the Emerald Queen Casino for hours and detectives said that when she left, he ambushed her in the parking lot. But he didn’t just jump her – police said he smashed a rock into the back of her head and took off with her winnings -- about $2,000. "Well, we believe this lady was stalked and followed out to the parking lot, because the suspect knew she had money, assaulted her, took the money and took off. We were able to get him ID'd and he's probably making a living going after senior citizens, so we want to know who he is,” said Pierce County Sheriff’s Office detective Ed Troyer. Benjamin Palacios is 25 and was last known to be living in Federal Way. If you can tell police where to find Benjamin Palacios, call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS. You can text a tip here.
