Rain, mountain snow and colder temps on the way

SEATTLE -- Today is the calm before the next storm.  Expect a few showers today with highs in the low 50s. Tomorrow gets active.

It'll be rainy, breezy & colder, with highs in the upper 40s to near 50.  There is a WINTER STORM WATCH for the Cascades from tonight through Friday night. The snow level drops to 2,500' -- all passes will be affected with up to a foot of snow.

The weekend will feature a few showers, but what you'll notice most of all is that it will be colder.  Highs only in the mid 40s with overnight lows dropping down to the 30s, even near freezing in outlying areas.  Rain looks likely to start in again late Monday into Tuesday & Wednesday.  We'll warm up a bit too, with highs in the low 50s.  So lowland snow is unlikely.
