Rescue dog rescued from cliff
SEATTLE -- Moses, a 3-year-old Newfoundland that recently earned a water rescue certification, was rescued after falling 175 feet off cliff during a hike near Enumclaw. Rescue crews that assisted included Washington State Animal Response Team, Seattle Mountain Rescue and King County 4x4, WASART said on their Facebook page.
Moses was found at the base of the cliff a few days the fall; the area where the fall took place has claimed the lives of other dogs, WSART said. When rescue crews located Moses, the dog was barking and walking around. Moses was lifted out with a harness an ropes.
The 140-pound dog had an injured leg and was dehydrated and hungry, but otherwise was in good condition. The family has been reunited with Moses.
