Road rage victim: Last thing I remember is seeing a pair of clenched fists approaching from my driver side mirror

SEATTLE -- It was a violent Road rage attack.

32 year old Kris Craig was beaten unconscious.

"Uh, yeah the vision itself is fine it's just it's kind of swollen shut. I needed stitches in my chin. It was split open. My lip was busted open in multiple places, chipped a tooth,” road rage victim Kris Craig said.

The attack happened last night just after eight.

Kris Craig was driving right around the corner from his home to get a burger and ice cream but he never made it.

"I signaled left and switched to the left lane and I guess there was a guy there in my blind spot. I should have probably looked over my shoulder. I neglected to do so. He honked on his horn and swerved around to my right and then kind of jack knifed in front of me and slammed on his breaks,” Craig said.

Craig managed to maneuver his car and got away but the other driver caught up with him at a red light.

"I remember thinking ok this guy really wants to yell at me so I'll let him say his peace. I'll apologize maybe offer to buy him a drink or something because I really genuinely feel bad about cutting him off,” Craig said.

Unfortunately it didn't work out that way.

"The last thing I remember is seeing a pair of clenched fists approaching from my driver side mirror,” Craig said.

Craig still doesn't remember the attack but a witness saw it all.

"The witness saw the person walk up to the driver's side window, sucker punched me in the side of the head from behind and then just kept punching me in the head until I fell unconscious and then ran back to his car and drove off. The next thing I remember I was driving down MLK covered with blood, Craig said.

Now all Craig wants is to see his attacker behind bars.

"This guy is clearly not somebody who should be on the street. Clearly he doesn't know how to live in a civilized society and we need to catch him,” Craig said.

Police believe the suspect was driving a blue early 1990s model Chevy Camaro.
