Rosie O'Donnell's daughter Chelsea speaks out: Comedian is a ‘phony’ who smokes weed
Rosie O'Donnell's adopted daughter Chelsea is making some startling claims in a new tell-all interview.
Trouble between Chelsea and O' Donnell was first made public in August when the 18-year-old went missing for two weeks but was found with an older man whom she is now living with.
Chelsea reportedly made the choice to leave O'Donnell when she turned 18, and her birth mother Deanna drove from Wisconsin to New York to pick her up.
In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, Chelsea says she never ran away but instead was kicked out by O'Donnell when she tried to have a relationship with her birth mother. Chelsea reveals that she was raised by nannies most of her life and was sent to boarding school when she was 13.
She also makes the bold claim that O'Donnell's public persona of being a caring, funny person is "phony." She says that her adoptive mother is a habitual marijuana smoker and explains that the real reason O'Donnell left "The View" was because she didn't get along with co-host Whoopi Goldberg.
A representative for O'Donnell says the interview is "heartbreaking on every level."
