The Seahawks announced the decision to keep defensive end Chris Clemons on the active roster and have reached the NFL-mandated 53-man roster limit with the following transactions today.

The Seattle Seahawks have also traded an undisclosed future draft choice to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for defensive tackle D'Anthony Smith, pending physical examinations, the club announced today.

Smith was originally drafted in the third round (74th overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Jaguars out of Louisiana Tech. After spending both the 2010 and 2011 seasons on injured reserve, Smith saw his first action in 2012, playing in eight games and recording 10 tackles (six solo) before being placed on injured reserve (head) on November 28.
