Seahawks: Nobody will wear Marshawn Lynch's number 24 next season
SEATTLE - The Seahawks picked up 10 new players in the NFL draft, but it turns out none of them will be wearing a No. 24 jersey.
Seahawks General Manager John Schneider went on 710 ESPN Monday and confirmed that the number 24 still belongs to Marshawn Lynch.
"One of my last conversations with Marshawn was that nobody was going to wear No. 24 this year in the regular season," Schneider told ESPN.
Not long after the draft, wide receiver Doug Baldwin had a special request for Coach Pete Carroll.
And it was a sentiment shared by Beast Mode himself.
Lynch has not filed his retirement paperwork yet, but Carroll says Beast Mode is committed to being retired.
